#69. My Message to You

Hello, this is Virgil, but I am no longer here. I have left your screen! Do you want to know where I am? I’ll tell you. I am in your mind!

That’s right! In fact, I am influencing your brain to keep on reading this post which I have written ... just for you. And though you are not sure what this ‘think-piece’ is all about, you just keep on reading. That’s because I have a hold on your curiosity. Did you know that your curiosity button is in your frontal lobe. Yes, here it is ... right over here.

So here we are. I have captivated your attention, and you are still hanging on – and I assure you -- for a phenomenal ride.

I know, of course, that you could simply stop reading. You are thinking that you could click the X in the upper right hand corner of your screen. But, even if you did, you would come back online to finish reading my words which I have penned just for you and you alone.

No, this message is not for all those other people out there. Most of them are not as interested as you are. And I’m grateful that you are so fascinated with me, even though it’s because I am running throughout your brain looking for more buttons to push.

But, you know, as interesting as your mind is, I am searching for something more precious than your thoughts. And since you are so intrigued by my presence, I have a special favor to ask of you.

Would you open the door to your heart and let me in? Then you can close this personal message to you and I shall remain in your heart-space for ever and ever.

#68. God's Conspiracy Theory

This think-piece was originally a part of #66 called "The Original Conspiracy Theory". However, that post was upon a serious subject and this one is a humorous think-piece. I hope you get a chuckle out of it. Blessings.

Conspiracy theories have most likely been a part of the human experience from the very beginning of time. In fact, I found this conspiracy theory in the third chapter of Genesis of the Holy Bible.
In the Garden of Eden, God saw Eve and Adam hiding behind some trees and surmised that they had done the dirty deed. So when God questioned the man, Adam squealed on Eve, saying it was "that woman you gave me" that was behind the crime. Then God summonsed Eve to the station, but she blamed the crime on the Serpent.
After much thought, God came up with this conspiracy theory that the three of them were in on it together from the get-go. God was the first to concoct the theory that the Serpent conspired with Adam and Eve to eat the fruit from the Forbidden Tree.
“That Serpent probably told Eve that I had lied to her, selling her on the idea that it would make her as smart as Me. I can see it now. The woman stared at the fruit. It looked beautiful and tasty. She wanted the wisdom that it would give her, so she climbed on Adam’s shoulders and picked some of the fruit and they had themselves a picnic.”

Although God had no solid evidence, he kicked all three of them out of His garden.
Notice that this first conspiracy theory was accepted by the author of Genesis as being true, and consequently, the passage was inserted into the Bible. Amazing!
